“All I can do is read a book to stay awake. It rips my life away but it’s a great escape.” Shannon Hoon

I’ve been doing way too much reading lately mostly as a result of all of my holds at the library coming in at the same time. My favorites have been The Help, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Age of Innocence, and Snowflower and the Secret Fan. I may actually be addicted to reading. I’ve found that there is a come down period after the final pages. I walk around in a fog as though I have been a time traveler and am newly acclimatizing to the modern world. Next up to read Vanity Fair, Water for Elephants and The Book Theif.

  1. ok, I am very excited to have a list of books to read because, honestly, I do not know what to read!!! Ok,FYI I read water for elephants. Good book, but a little bit ummm, graphic and has some choice words. That being said, it's very entertaining and I did like it. But I just want to give you a little heads up. I won't be judging you AT ALL if you decide to read it. Love you tons and can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!!!!!

  2. I was just talking to my friend last night about the book The Help, then today I looked it up at the library website, I am going to be on the waiting list for a LONG time. I love having recommendations for good books. Reading is what gets me through the winters. I will have to add your other books to my list. Thanks!
